In 2024, the community committed to repair the old, rotting, wooden bulkhead and pier at the community park. Bids were solicited. The project was funded in part from available community funds and in part from the generous donation of one community member.
The work was complete by fall 2024. The bulkhead and pier are now cement, and there is a new drainage flow to allow heavy rainfall to pass more easily through the park and into the lake.
After completion, several community members came together to install sod where rain and weather had eroded the grassy park land.
